The life of an elite athlete is challenging in every way. Extreme pressures and demands, physical stresses as well as expectations from coaches, staff, and the public. From the outside, it seems like a glamorous life-style, but in private, athletes are confronted with the fears and pressures that both drive them and plague them God created us to thrive. Athletes in Action helps athletes and those involved with elite sports discover a new way of living and competing, by looking to our Creator. Discovering His design allows us to play, compete, and live in freedom from burdens, expectations, and fear. We are committed to supporting all top-level athletes, regardless of age or discipline. Through personal mentoring, group bible study, and specifically designed resources and events, we seek to show athletes that life is not a tournament or competition, rather a journey that God accompanies us on and one where He wishes us to thrive and succeed.

Soccer

We have discipleship groups with Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits, FCAK, and Supersport United. We meet the players on a weekly basis for bible study. Once a month we have a social where all the players and their wives and girlfirneds meet together.
