The weekend of 13-15 June 2008 we had the privilege of 23 soccer players (4 ladies), coaches, and officials at the beautiful Roodevallei Country Lodge just outside Pretoria. 
We were blessed with 3 excellent speakers, Jannie Botha (sport psychologist), Sipho Ndzuzo (general secretary of SAFPU and former Bafana Bafana player), and Zach Lamola (motivational speaker and former Kaiser Chiefs player).  We covered some very relevant topics, for example, the importance of mental preperation, team culture and Muti, and spiritual preperation.  In our last session we had a panel that discussed the many issues in the life of a soccer player, education, injuries, relationships, finances, etc.  We also presented the players with the gospel and several indicated that they prayed to recieve Jesus Christ as their Savioiur and Lord.
The aim of this conference was to expose soccer players to the gospel and help them see they have a platform to make a positive difference in the lives of their families, friends, teammates, and supporters. (see photos)
