As a global pioneer, innovator and servant in sports ministry, it is the desire of Athletes in Action to empower individuals, ministries, and churches to fulfill the Great Commission by reaching their communities with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through sports and to release them to train others. Or another way to put it, as Paul admonished Timothy: "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others." (2 Timothy 2:2)
